Quattro nature morte, 2021
"Four Still Lifes" is a small series
of studio images with which the author reaffirms, as so often in the past,
the primacy of aesthetics, of the pure pleasure of form, over the sociological
and documentary contents specific to humanist photography. In this little
cycle he pays homage to the authenticity of the real and the obviously
and inevitably subjective beauty of matter, which through choice, juxtaposition
and composition of objects, he complements and completes with metaphysical,
symbolic or ironically allusive references.
"One can travel the world and see nothing.
To achieve understanding, it is necessary not to see many things, but
to look carefully at what you see." (Giorgio Morandi)
