Kindertotenstimmen, 2011 (a selection)

The project deals with the death of children under the age of 10, symbolised by the photographs on their graves. Why did they die so young? Was it due to an early illness, an accident or even violence? The pictures and inscriptions do not provide any answers, or only allow us to make assumptions. Moreover, most of the gravesites are neglected, appear unvisited since a long time, forgotten by the relatives, becoming symbols of a process of transience that occurred even before real life.
